Moving Services
We are a licensed moving company in Grayson County Texas. Therefore, we are registered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TXDMV #006317178C) and United States Department of Transportation (USDOT#1291990 and MC#507910) as a household goods moving company. We are bonded and carry general liability insurance and all other insurances required for intra- and interstate moves. A “Sharp” Moving Company is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the Pottsboro Chamber of Commerce.
For residential or commercial moves we offer an hourly rate or a set price. Normally, we charge hourly rates for moves within or between Grayson County or the surrounding counties. However, if you prefer we can also provide a set price for a local move. Our definition of a long distance move is a move that requires overnight travel. Therefore, to avoid any hidden cost when moving long distance, we give a set price based on the details of your moving needs. Storage Units- 289 storage LLC
289 Storage, LLC is a proud member of the Texas Self Storage Association. Knowing goods are in a temperature controlled storage unit and not exposed to extreme temperatures can ease a customers mind. Various sizes of units are available- 5×10, 10×10, 10×15, or 10×20. We also have drive-up units with concrete floors available in 10×20’s and 10×10’s. 289 Storage has a gated entry and customers are given a code to enter at the gate and the entrance of the building. Packing Services
As a full service moving company in Grayson County, not only do we offer moving and storage (via 289 Storage, LLC), we also offer packing services. Therefore, if you need us to pack your household items or office before your move, call us to schedule our trained packing team. All packing materials will be supplied by us so you don’t have to worry about purchasing & loading/unloading your own packing materials.
Our trained packing team’s level of skill ensures your items are packed precisely by using the appropriate materials for each item. Using our team to pack your boxes also helps in the moving process by eliminating damage to your goods inside the boxes during transport. Labeling
Clearly label all items. For example, remove light bulbs from lamps, place lamp shades in a box and label “TOP LOAD ONLY” and/or “LAMP SHADES”.
Fragile items
If the contents in the box are fragile, place the word “FRAGILE” on the box label.
Taping & Sealing
Tape the bottom of all boxes. Twice along the opening and twice in the opposite direction making a cross pattern.

Make sure to pack to the top of each box so the movers can safely stack each box. You can place a towel or packing paper to fill out the top layer of the box. Place heavier items in the bottom of the box.
Clothing & Bedding
Place shoes in medium size boxes & place paper between each layer . Hang clothing in wardrobe boxes. Bedding can be placed in large boxes or thick garbage bags. We do allow you to leave clothing in your drawers.
Electronics
Disconnect electrical items: computers, stereos, small TV’s, etc. Use towels, pillows, packing paper, or bubble wrap to place between the items & place in small to medium size boxes.
